American Restaurants
Fine Dining

The kitchen builds a new three-course prix fixe most weeks around whatever the restaurant's own farm and neighboring Upstate growers are harvesting, so the menu shifts with the season rather than sitting still. Dinner runs three courses for $65, Thursday through Sunday. It occupies the old Williams Hardware building on Main Street in Travelers Rest, with a screened, heated porch that looks out over the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Live jazz plays on Thursday evenings and select Saturdays bring a bluegrass brunch, which gives the room the feel of a neighborhood gathering as much as a special-occasion table, though it handles both. Beyond the weeknight prix fixe there is weekend brunch, a full bar with a curated wine list and craft cocktails, and a Sunday chef's tasting that changes weekly, five courses with an optional wine pairing. Plant-based cooking gets serious attention, from a deep vegan lineup to a Plant Based Supper Club that runs a few times a year. The attached kitchen and market bakes bread to order and carries local produce and chef-prepared meals. Chef Adam Cooke, a 2020 James Beard semifinalist for Best Chef Southeast, leads the kitchen, and much of what comes out of it traces back to the restaurant's own 16-acre farm and named local growers like Bradford Farm and Barbee Farms.

Community Chiropractic

Chiropractors

Community Chiropractic is Dr. Kevin M. Mobley's independent practice in Easley, and it sees the whole age range: the office counts newborns and a 100-year-old among its patients. Dr. Mobley earned his Doctor of Chiropractic at Life University, completed a postgraduate Certificate in Pediatrics, and added a board certification in chronic intractable disease and peripheral neuropathy in 2022. The practice has been an Easley Chamber member since 2002. Adjustments draw on full-spine Diversified, Thompson Drop Table, and Activator methods, with the Webster Technique for pregnancy. The office also offers spinal decompression and red light therapy, runs dedicated programs for knee, shoulder, plantar fasciitis, and neuropathy concerns, and keeps hydromassage tables in a resting area. The practice is openly faith-based, down to praying with patients, and its testimonials keep coming back to a friendly staff and easy scheduling on short notice.

Core Wellness

Chiropractors

Core Wellness is the solo practice of Dr. Shane Chastain, DC, a South Carolina-licensed chiropractor on McNeely Road in Powdersville. Alongside chiropractic adjustments, the practice offers dry needling, and a massage therapist works on site, so patients can find more than one kind of hands-on care in the same office. Appointments book online through Fresha, which saves a phone call for anyone who would rather schedule on their own time. Reviews come back to the same few points: Dr. Chastain is thorough, easy to talk to, and good at putting first-time chiropractic patients at ease. People also mention a kind front desk and a comfortable, welcoming office, and at least one patient says they have been seeing him for close to a decade.

Two Maids
Two Maids

Two Maids

Cleaning Services

Two Maids runs on the pay-for-performance model that built the national brand: after each visit, customers score the cleaning on a scale of one to ten, and that score is what sets the cleaning team's pay. It ties the crew's incentive directly to how happy you are with the result, and it is why teams here tend to walk the home with you before they leave. This Greenville office is a locally operated location of the national Two Maids brand, handling residential jobs: recurring maintenance cleans, one-time and deep cleans, apartment cleaning, and move-in or move-out work, with all the supplies and equipment brought along. Service reaches across the Upstate, from Greer and Taylors to Simpsonville, Mauldin, Easley, and Travelers Rest. Reviewers consistently point to teams that show up on time and work thoroughly, room by room.

The City Arborist

Tree Services

Owner Brad Stone is an ISA Certified Arborist, and his assessments sort out which trees can be saved with pruning, cabling, or bracing, and which need to come down. One customer's old sugar maple was trimmed and cabled to help it weather storms. When removal is the answer, the crew handles the tricky ones: big trees close to the house, a fence, or power lines. They'll also install lighting to show off a standout tree. Independent and locally owned, the company works for homeowners, HOAs, and businesses in Travelers Rest, Greenville, Greer, Simpsonville, Mauldin, Taylors, and Easley. For storm damage, they'll come anywhere in the Upstate. Customers mention Brad's clear advice and fair quotes, and they're just as quick to praise the cleanup, which leaves the yard in better shape than the crew found it.

Dentists

Carolina Oaks Dental Care keeps a broad general practice going on South Main Street in downtown Travelers Rest: checkups, fillings, and kids' visits, plus crowns, bridges, full and partial dentures, veneers, whitening, mouth guards, and emergency care. The office describes itself as dentist-owned and led, and it is one of four Carolina Oaks offices, alongside Anderson, Clemson, and Greenville. Dr. Susan H. Maxwell, a Greenville native, earned her DMD at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed a general practice residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte focused on oral medicine and surgery. She joined Carolina Oaks in 2012 and has volunteered with the Greenville Free Medical Clinic since then. Dr. Harrison Crouch, a Clemson and MUSC graduate, also sees patients here. People who go often mention a friendly staff and appointments that move along quickly without feeling rushed.

One Love Fusion Foods

Food Trucks

The Kingston Nachos are the dish that put One Love on the map: Jamaican jerk chicken piled over loaded nachos, the plate that took first place at Fall for Greenville in 2017. The Hawaiian Stack, a grilled BBQ pulled pork sandwich, won the same festival the following year, and both are still on the menu. Those are the calling cards, but the cooking ranges wide, pulling Caribbean, Latin, and Southern flavors onto the same plate. You will find loaded nachos, yellow rice bowls, taco triplets, and grilled Stacks on Texas toast, tied together with house sauces like the Sunset Sauce and Jerkziki. The vegetarian and vegan lineup is unusually deep for a food truck, with coconut-glazed tofu, barbecue jackfruit, and plant-based versions of most of the meat dishes. One Love has run since 2016 and bills itself as the longest-running food truck in the Upstate. It is family-owned and works public and private events around Simpsonville and the wider Upstate, closing in on a decade of catching people at festivals and pop-ups.

She is board certified, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and focuses on thorough full-body skin cancer screenings. Pereira Bakery Taylors

Pereira Bakery Taylors

Bakeries

Off Wade Hampton Boulevard, on an unremarkable stretch of Lee Road in Taylors, Pereira Bakery has grown into one of the Upstate's real Colombian panaderías. Heated cases hold trays of fresh empanadas and pastries, the parking lot stays busy from morning on, and reviewers describe a largely Colombian and Latino crowd. It runs as part bakery, part neighborhood mini-market, and it also handles money transfers and package shipping, so for a lot of local families it works as a community stop, not only a place to eat. The baking is the heart of it: arepas topped with butter, shredded chicken, or beef; empanadas with a crisp cornmeal crust and stewed filling that reviewers say to finish with the house cilantro sauce; buñuelos, chicharrón de guayaba, and empanadas de cambray filled with cream cheese and guava. There is a full plate menu too, from bandeja paisa to tequeños that come out hot and fresh, plus wraps, quesadillas, and wings for anyone at the table after something more familiar. It is an easy first stop if you have never had Colombian food and want the real version, and a taste of home for the many who grew up on it.

Leopard Forest Coffee Company

Leopard Forest Coffee Company

Coffee Shops

Walk into Leopard Forest and the first thing that reaches you is the smell of coffee roasting a few feet away. This is a working roastery as much as a cafe, and much of what gets poured at the bar was roasted on site, often within sight of where you are sitting. The room is small and down to earth, the sort of place people settle into with a book or a laptop and lose an hour. Travelers Rest has had Leopard Forest since 2004, when it started on Main Street before moving out to the Poinsett Corridor. In that time it has earned a line a lot of locals will repeat without hesitation, that this is the best coffee in town. The beans are sourced directly from farmers and roasted in house, poured as espresso, drip, or pour over, or bagged to take home. The roasting side has grown well past the cafe too, supplying coffee to shops and restaurants across the Carolinas and the wider Southeast. It sits right off the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail, which runs directly behind the building, so cyclists and trail walkers wander in alongside the weekday morning crowd. If you want something past a straight cup, reviewers keep pointing to the Snow Leopard, a white chocolate, caramel, and macadamia nut latte.

Ice Cream

Benny's brought ice cream back to downtown Fountain Inn when Logan and Emily Davis took over the old Steam Coffee & Cream space on South Main, rebuilt the coffee bar, added an ice cream dipping cabinet, and reopened in the summer of 2026. They named the shop after their young son, Bennett, and it found its footing fast, with more than 500 people coming through in the first weekend alone. On a revamped stretch of historic Main Street, it has become the kind of place people drop into on the way through downtown. The menu runs on the pairing in the name. Handcrafted coffee sits alongside hand-dipped Chocolate Shoppe ice cream, with baked goods and breakfast-and-lunch sandwiches rounding things out. It makes an easy morning-coffee stop or an after-dinner scoop, and the later Friday and Saturday hours give Fountain Inn somewhere to walk to once the rest of Main Street has closed up. The Chocolate Shoppe flavors rotate, so the playfully named ones are worth asking about. The shop has scooped a bourbon-spiked espresso called Exhausted Parent, a fitting pick from two people who had never worked in coffee before and have been learning the business on the fly.
